My Why…

My survival of chronic illness and OCD in my teen years was dependent on others sharing their stories. As I began to heal from my trauma, the stories I had listened to inspired me to share my own. I healed through creating art and sharing my story, and when I shared both I had an overwhelming response of support. The outpouring of love from people within the OCD and chronic illness community as well as random viewers, was amazing and showed me the importance of creating art and storytelling. Today I still live with many debilitating illnesses, but creating art and advocating has given me an outlet to express emotions and educate and help others in the process.
